Thursday, 05.30.2002 - trial in three (3) segments 09:00 - 13:45 the accused resumed the cross-examination of the witness. One of the amici curiae then cross-examined the witness. Following the conclusion of General Maisonneuve's testimony, the accused resumed the cross-examination of witness Drita Emini. An amicus curiae then cross-examined the witness. After hearing the parties, the Trial Chamber gave a ruling excluding the statement of witness Barney Kelly, an investigator of the Office of the Prosecutor. The accused was given the opportunity to cross-examine witness Barney Kelly but declined. The Prosecution then introduced the statement of Rule 92 bis witness Bilall Avdiu from Stimlje municipality, who testified about the attacks on Racak in 1998 and 1999. Wednesday, 05.29.2002 - trial in two (2) segments 10:30 - 13:45 /Prosecution examined witness Major General Joseph Michel Maisonneuve, who was the head of the Kosovo Verification Mission ("KVM") first regional centre based in Prizren. The accused then cross-examined the witness. transcript

Tuesday, 05.28.2002 - trial in four (4) segments 09:00 - 13:45 Prosecution examined expert witness William Fulton, a police detective from the Royal Ulster Constabulary seconded to the British Forensic Team which investigated exhumation sites in locations in Serbia outside of Kosovo in 1999 and 2000. The accused cross-examined the witness. The Prosecution then called witness Barney Kelly, an investigator of the Office of the Prosecutor, who testified about the maps made in relation to the Racak killings. The Prosecution then introduced the testimony of Rule 92 bis witness Drita Emini from Racak, who testified about the attack on the village in January 1999 by Serb forces./ transcript

Monday, 05.27.2002 - trial in five (5) segments 09:00 - 13:45 Prosecution resumed the examination of protected witness K5, a Kosovo Albanian who claims to have worked as an informer for the police in the 1990's, which began on 24 May 2002. The accused and one of the amici curiae cross-examined the witness. The Prosecution then re-examined the witness. / transcript

Thursday, 05.23.2002 - trial in three (3) segments 09:00 - 13:45 Prosecution expressed its wish to recall expert witness Dr. Baccard. The Trial Chamber ruled that if the Prosecution wanted to recall this witness, it had to be in the form of an addendum to his statement. The Prosecution called Rule 92 bis witness Baton Haxhiu, a journalist who was one of the founding members of the Kosovo newspaper Koha Ditore. Prosecution introduced the statement of witness Adnan Merovci, the personal assistant to Ibrahim Rugova since 1992, who testified, inter alia, about his imprisonment and meetings that he had with Ibrahim Rugova, the Russian Ambassador and the accused. The witness was also a member of the Kosovo Albanian delegation at the Rambouillet negotiations in 1999. The accused subsequently began his cross-examination of the witness / transcript

Tuesday, 05.21.2002 - trial in 3 (three) segments 09:00 - 13:45 the accused resumed the cross-examination of witness Ratomir Tanic. The Trial Chamber did not admit the statements of the vice-president of the Nova Demokratija ("ND") party and Ratko Markovic that the accused wanted to adduce because it considered them totally unsubstantiated comments made after a witness had given evidence. The Prosecution then called witness Dr. Eric Baccard, the chief forensic pathologist for the Tribunal in Kosovo. / transcript
